This is the pilgrim costume that Peyton wore at the Thanksgiving Feast they had in his Kindergarten class.
This year we spent Thanksgiving day with Phil's family. Loralee made a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner! The boys decided to play some football before we ate dinner. As you can tell from the pictures, Phil was getting a little too in to the game.
Peyton and Noah snacking on food before dinner, because they just couldn't wait!
Noah's favorite food of the night was Grandma's chocolate pie. He licked the entire plate clean.
Peyton will not eat any kind of pie, so Grandma made him an ice cream cone.
First thing this morning the boys wanted to put up the Christmas decorations. We got everything out and ready to go. Too bad 6 out of the 10 strands of lights for the tree did not work! I have had these lights for the past 5 years and they always work. What's the chance that more than half of the strands won't light up? So we had to head down to Wal-Mart to buy some new lights. I was really trying to avoid any stores on Black Friday. It's funny how Christmas can put you in such a bad mood when stuff like this happens. After I finally got all the lights on, Peyton helped me put all the decorations on the tree. He was actually a great helper and wasn't just in the way, like he's been in the past. It's great that he's finally at an age where he can be very helpful.Amid all the light problems, we also had our fridge stop working today. This morning I discovered that everything in the fridge was warm. So I had to pack everything up from the fridge and freezer and take it all to my mom's house before it went bad. We found out that some water from a jug had been dripping down to the bottom of the fridge and turned into a huge piece of ice. The ice was blocking the fan that blows cold air into the fridge. So Phil took a blow drier and had to blow it down the holes to get all of the ice to melt. Hopefully it is all fixed now. It has been quite the stressful day for me! But I am a little happier now that I have all the Christmas decorations done.
