This past week we were able to have a girl's trip to California and Las Vegas. Our flight left Wednesday morning at 6:30 so we had to be up to get ready at 3:00am. That was really hard but as soon as we were up it was OK. We arrived in LA at 7:30 and decided that since nothing would be open, that we would go through a session at the Los Angeles Temple. It was so beautiful inside all of the rooms! After the temple we went shopping down in the Fashion District. And to end the day we went and saw Wicked. I loved it!! It was definitiely the best show that I have ever seen. I heard it is coming to Salt Lake next year. So if you haven't seen it you'll have to go. I'm sure my family will all want to see it again. We had a group of 9 girls (Me, Elizabeth, Jenny, Mom, Loralee, Anette, Laura, Natasha and Katie.)

On Thursday we decided to go to Disneyland. I have to admit that I felt a little guilty going without my kids. It ended up being a great day to go. There were no lines and we got on everything that we wanted to ride. Disneyland is so much better without a crowd. Next time we take the kids it will not be in Spring or Summertime.

We actually got up really close to the parade because there were not very many people there.

On Friday we went to Hollywood. There were a bunch of people dressed up in costumes wanting you to take pictures with them. This Spiderman creeped us out a little, because he kept telling us to get closer to him. You can tell that I just tried to lean in to the picture so I didn't have to get too close to him. He was definitely the shortest Spiderman I've ever seen. I figured the boys would think that this picture was pretty cool, especially since I got Spiderman and Batman in one shot.

We paid to go on one of the Hollywood Tours. This is a picture of us in the huge Vanwagon with the top cut off of it. It was fun to go see some of the Stars houses but of course we didn't see any celebrities. The tour guide would keep telling us of all these famous people he saw the previous week and to keep our eyes open so we wouldn't miss all the Stars. But we didn't even see one. We had a very interesting Tour Guide that was very animated and didn't stop talking the whole 2 hours we were on the tour.

This is a picture of Richard Simmons house.

This is Dr. Phil's house

Lucille Ball's house

Here is a little video clip of our tour guide, so you can hear a little piece of what we had to listen to for 2 hours.
On Saturday morning we flew to Las Vegas for a couple of days because my niece Kennedy was baptized. It was so nice to be there and be a part of her special day. Congratuations Kennedy. It was good to see Landon, Nena and the other kids too.
I had such a good time with the girls. It was great just to talk and laugh as much as we did. Hopefully we will be able to make it a tradition. Phil did a great job taking care of the boys while I was gone. All the moms in the neighborhood said that he had Peyton to the bus stop on time with all his homework and show and tell ready. He also told me that he made the beds everyday and kept the house clean. The kids and I are so lucky to have him!!

That was a great time wasn't it?!? So glad you all came our way... you should make it a sep 11 tradition for sure. How are you feeling?????????
Looks like fun Diana! I love Wicked too! Did Phil tell you that Peyton and EJ played against each other at Soccer on Saturday? It was cute- I wish you and Eric could have been there! I'm pretty sure Peyton's team won! :)
Yeah, I was sad that I missed that game. My mom really wanted to go too, so she could see two grandkids play at once. Maybe next time.
How fun!! I wish I could take a trip anywhere with anyone! Hopefully next year! I'm glad you could get away and have some well earned excitement!
Sounds way too fun. I really want to see Wicked. I just finished the book. Luv u
