Noah turned 3 years old yesterday. On Friday we celebrated with the extended family by going to McDonalds. We figured that would be a great place to go with a lot of kids. All Noah requested was to have a round cake. That was easy enough for me. I just made a baseball cake. It only took me about 20 minutes to frost, compared to the hours I have spent on past birthday cakes for the boys.
Noah loved all the attention from everyone, especially when we sang Happy Birthday! I thought it was funny that Peyton was in the back trying to help him blow out his candles.
I also made baseball cupakes to go along with the cake. All of the kids seemed to like them the best.
Noah was so lucky and got a lot of great stuff from his Grandma's and his cousins.
On Saturday, because it was his real birthday let him open the presents from us. I decided to get him a boy Cabbage Patch kid because he seems to like some of those kind of toys. But boy was I wrong. As soon as he ripped off the wrapping paper and could tell what it was he wanted nothing to do with it. His face looked totally horrified. He didn't even want us to take it out of the box. It was pretty hilarious. I think Phil was relieved that he didn't like it. I just remember that when we were young, most boys had cabbage patch kids. Phil even had one. As you can see from the pictures he did not even want to touch it.
We took it out of the box to get a picture with Noah, but as you can see he wouldn't even look at the camera. Luckily he liked all the other gifts we gave him. He did start to play with it a little later right before bed.
After opening presents we went over to Liberty Land. Since Peyton got to go there for his birthday Noah has assumed for the past couple of months that that is where he got to go for his birthday. We had a fun time and are glad that Noah had a good birthday.
