Scarecrow Day...

Today was Scarecrow Day in Peyton's Kindergarten class. They invited parents to come and help put the scarecrow's together. It was fun to go and help Peyton and see his class and friends that he always talks about.

Here is the finished scarecrow. He decided he wanted a farmer hat too, so we put that on when we got home.

We also decorated our pumpkins for FHE this week. The kids wanted to paint them this year. We were fine with that because it's a lot of work and mess to gut the pumpkins out.
Peyton decided on a skeleton skull for his pumpkin.

Noah wanted to do a Frankenstein face since that is what he's going to be for Halloween.

Here is Peyton and Noah with their pumpkins all finished. We had so much fun painting!

Cute scarecrow Peyton! Isn't school fun!!! I went to Matthew's class today and they made ghosts. His teacher had a really creative way of making them. They made them from cheese cloth and starch. He'll have to show it to you when he brings it home next week!

That was so cute having the kids decorate scarecrows at school!! I hope we get around to carving our pumpkins this year. We have bought pumpkins for the past 5 years and October gets so busy that we have never ever carved any of them!
