Peyton's 7th Birthday!

Peyton turned 7 on July 31. He's always excited for a birthday. We let him open his presents in the morning, because he can't stand to wait all day.

He has been asking for new basketball shoes for months, so he was so happy to get them for his birthday.

The greatest thing about summer birthdays is you can just set up a couple swimming pools for the kids and they have a blast. Peyton had some of his cousins over, and my cousin Laura was in town, so she brought her girls over for the swim party too.

Peyton loved the new BYU stuff that he got from Grandma Larsen.

Peyton's only request for his birthday cake was that it have M & M's on it. It was the easiest cake I've ever made for my kids birthdays.

Lily was enjoying her blue cupcake a little a too much. She got a nice bath in the swimming pool after she was done.

We let Petyon choose where he wanted to go for dinner and he chose TGI Fridays.

We found out later that he chose to go to dinner there because they give you a free ice cream sunday on your birthday. Smart kid!

Peyton was really excited to get this electric scooter from Grandma and Grandpa Thompson, and Mom and Dad.

We ended the day with another cake with Phil's family. We are so grateful to have Peyton in our family and are glad he had a good birthday!

Here is Peyton the day after his birthday trying out his electric scooter for the first time. He had to wait 18 hours for it to charge, which was so long for him :)
