Christmas Time!

I decided that it was finally time to update my blog with the things that have been going on the last couple of months. I have added six new posts, going all the way back to October.
We had a great time at our ward Chrismtas party. The kids were excited to see Santa Claus and tell them what they wanted for Christmas.

Noah, whispering to Santa what he wants.
We were pleasently surprised that Lily would sit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Peyton and Noah were both terrified of Santa Claus at this age.
We had a good time listening to Peyton and the kids at his school sing some Christmas songs.

I came home from Christmas shopping one night to find Phil and the boys making Gingerbread Houses. I was quite impressed that Phil found a recipe on line and had helped the boys make these cute little houses. Noah was mostly licking the icing off his hands and eating the candy the whole time.
Devin and Vanessa hosted another little Christmas party. We got together and made the Santa Claus cookies that my Grandma Larsen used to make when we were kids. They are so cute, but are very time consuming to make. It took my mom and I a few hours just to make the sugar cookies.
All the kids decorating the Christmas tree cookies.
All the adults working hard on the Santa Claus cookies. We decided to set up a little assembly line, and each person was responsible for one part of decorating the cookie. It worked pretty well.

We ended up making over 55 cookies! We split them all up and delivered them to family and neighbors.
The other night we were coming out of Peyton's soccer game and Lily stuck her tongue out to try and catch the huge snowflakes that were falling.
Between all the busy things in December, I finally found some time to paint Lily's room. I have been wanting to paint pink stripes for about a year now, and I finally finished!
