Three months later, I am finally posting about Christmas :) On Christmas Eve we went with my family and Ashley and Tyler to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We had a great time, even with the horrible waiter that we had and getting our food an hour after we ordered it. As you can see in the picture below, Noah was not feeling very good. He ended up getting a fever and throwing up all over the carpet right before bed. I felt so bad because he had been looking forward to Christmas for months. Luckily he was feeling a lot better Christmas day. A nights sleep made all the difference for him.
After dinner we drove up to Alpine to a house that has a sled and Santa Claus out front every year on Christmas Eve. The kids were a little suspicious of him being a fake Santa, but they still had fun getting their picture taken with him.
After getting home the kids opened their Christmas Eve gift, which is always new pajamas.
Peyton has made it a tradition to write Santa Claus a letter and leave it with cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.
Noah was able to get a peek at the presents from upstairs. I'm so happy that he was feeling better on Christmas morning!
The kids on waiting on the stairs to go see what Santa Claus had brought for them.
We had a big Christmas breakfast before opening any presents.
Lily was the first to get to open a present and she loved it. Christmas is so much more fun when the kids know what's going on.
The kids loved the presents that they got from each other. Noah hugging Lily because he loved the present that she helped pick out for him.
Peyton and Noah sharing a hug. Noah doesn't look too excited about this hug :)
Good thing Ashley and Tyler had each other to give presents to. We loved having them over for Christmas!
I loved the homemade gifts that I got from the kids. They really are the best!
Phil, modeling his new Snuggie blanket :)
Lily loved the new kitchen she got. It was so cute watching her play with it all day long. She is such a girl. We laughed when she already new how to stir, wipe everything down and even put the dishes in the sink and wash them.
The only thing that Noah asked Santa for was Kung Zhu pets and the Kung Zhu arena. Here he is playing with it.
Later in the day we had Christmas dinner over at our house.
A few days later we had Christmas again at Grandma and Grandpa Thompson's house. The kids loved getting to open more presents. As always, Grandma and Grandpa spoiled us with lots of great stuff.
