Peyton finally loses his front two teeth!

Right around Thanksgiving Peyton started to complain that his front two teeth were hurting him really bad. Because of the holiday we had to wait until Monday to get into the dentist. Over the years Peyton's front teeth have got pretty small because of grinding. When the dentist had a look at his teeth, he found a huge abcess above the front teeth, along his gums. Apparently, because Peyton's teeth were almost worn down to the nerve, bacteria was able to get through his teeth and up into his gums, causing an infection. The dentist said he had only seen this in a child one other time. So they put him on antibiotics and made an appointment for the following week to pull his two front teeth out. Peyton was a little nervous, but mostly excited because he has been wanting to lose a tooth for a long time now. They gave Peyton laughing gas to relax him. It only took a couple minutes to pull the teeth out and Peyton didn't even feel a thing. He did so good!
Peyton was excited to finally get a visit from the tooth fairy! He also was finally able to write his name on a chart at school for losing some teeth.
